Despite having installed my Lokka some weeks ago today was the first chance I've had to test it properly.
I went down to the Bala Off Road Pay and Play day and gave the old girl a right good thrashing up and down and round about and though some slightly too deep water and the Lokka was brilliant. Grip was superb and steering was not noticeable affected.
I did have a moment into a water splash when the steering went all heavy. Turned out the power steering belt was slipping when it got wet. New belts time I think. Just about undrivable without the power steering, not good when a quick turn is required and a nightmare when the water is half way up the doors and the splash is bendy. Quick tweek with the spanners and all was well. I also discovered that the water, well brown soup really, fills the doors though the drain holes and then emerges from behind the door panels into the foot well. Ho hum.
The Lokka has to be one of the best offroad mods you can make for the money, my truck wasn't too bad before but it's brilliant now.
More "testing" in a couple of weeks.
