I think they are about £400 with postage and tax

It's on my wants list but gotta do rear springs, rear shocks, and freewheeling hubs first ...

I wanted one last year too, but couldn't muster up enough support for a multibuy at the time. I think they're an excellent idea and will truly make a road going T2 an almost unstoppable bit of kit :thumbs
I'm now into my Trol or else I'd have been tempted :thumbs
Good choice, go for it

aww stinka there was a set of freewheeling hubs on ebay or some where i'll try find them.
:thumb2

I've got some F/W hubs sitting here mate :thumbs
Offers on a postcard :sly

£20:confused: :eek::eek::eek::eek: think he needs to multiply that by at least 3 :lol

Bumping up this thread again.
Solarman and myself are pretty sure to be getting lokkas asap.
I've emailed them for discounts etc and so far T2 lokka is down to £287
Any one else want one as there's time for more dealings and savings :sly
Be quick though as the pound is on the slide, so as quick as I'm getting discounts the rug is slipping beneath me
Roll up, Roll up, get yor Lokka s here :naughty

How easy are they to fir to the T2. I could be very interested ....

Pretty easy.

Shafts off, drop diff unit out of subframe, open it, carefully remove noting where any shims and bearings go as you will assemble in reverse order

The lokka just replaces the planet gears in the diff

You need to set the gap between the dog clutches with shims and feeler gauges or a micrometer/dti as I understand it, that is critical but not over hard to do

I'd love one but will wait until i get feedback from someone else who has fitted one, because of my front fixed hubs and that I don't want it to ruin my steering on the road

I think the detroit locker work in the same way? As fitted to many landrovers as a cheap and easy diff lock.

If you really wanted front locking hubs, you could probably go as far as switching diff, hubs and shafts?
