Right team the weathers dry ish,

So i'm off down to "pat williams" car parts to get a :

oil filter
fuel filter
and some engine oil

Today i aim to change the above filters and oil, do the drivers door, and locate all the gear box bits so i can change that also!

So out with the axle stands!

I had a day of it yesterday so working on paperwork today for a rest,OH and to invoice some peeps to get paid :naughty
 
Best spray some penetrating oil on certain nuts whilst your're under there - parcel should be with you tomorrow.

Any secrets you would like to release to getting a professional job with the film? I have had acouple of go's at it, and find it almost bloody impossible to get every wrinkle out...

As for tints, i used youtube to see how its done, just not sure which tint to use? dark or medium because the rears were tinted when i got it.:nenau

I did the new door, but now the passenger window has stopped working, there is a fuse relay in the engine bay, the drivers window and sunroof still work.:(

As for the filters i need a filter chain/wrench and a big spanner to get the fuel filter sensor off. Who ever said hand tight sampson?

Am i right that this is the engine oil drain plug? this is a bolt the others are further back and need a 10mm bolt to open.

Its never this hard at sea...:rolleyes:

theres a relay behind the door card too.. is the motor making ANY sounds...

one pics per post... try to use photobucket or the like you can post a few at a time then..
 
Not a peep. just plugged in the new door turned the ignition on, tried the new window worked, tried the passanger nout.

Also is the pic of the oil sump th edrain i use to get rid of the oil?

yep thats the drain plug... to remove the white sensor in fuel filter use grips .... easy
 
Grips? easy? what grips?

Mole grips?

plumbers grips? will try tomorrow. and ideas on the passanger window? could the relay in the engine kill one window but operate the others?

any grips that fit, i use plumbers ones

no idea on the window . try the ususl bang and or slam the door
check fuses etc

for starters
 
dont forget then big hammer extreme...


if posable, id try to get the power from the other side, just to test see if its the power or the motor..
 
Got the plumbers grips ACE! and the filter removal tools!

Did the fuel filter, put the sticker on the rear window, tried the pass door but have found a rounded nut.

Bottled doing the oil filter, as the ground was uneven so i'll leave it till next week when i'm in pompy and i can use one of my stoker mates!

Thats all really, redex in tomorrow when i tank up. and order the K&N next friday!
 
done at last

At last the oil change is complete!

I the ed couldet get to the oil filter from below, had to stab it and unscrew it that way.

And as extreme said it flew out, used a proper oil pan/catcher ad still got me and wet through my overalls ad knackerd me 10 euro 3 year old jeans. bugger.

Service cost

10 ltr oil
oil filter
fuel filter
17ltr oil pan
filter chain
filter strap
plumbers pliers

60 quid. and a few man hours.

this weekend K&N rear widow tint.
