Because I live in north devon, we don't have a macro or anything similar, and the average price of rape seed oil is about 98p per ltr (asda, morrisons etc) is it really worth the hassel of buying bottles and decanting them in to the tank?

All depends how much diesel is. Around here Asda are still holding out at 99.9p a litre so probably not worth but I cant see them either lasting or the rest staying more expensivethe because rest of the garages around here seem to range from 102.9 up to 107.9 so I reckon maybe worth it, depends how much you use.

The rule of thumb I use when the svo and diesel are that close in price is would you make the effort (everyone has different views on spending money) to go to the filling station thats selling it out at 98p a litre?

I use around 3/4 tank a week no problem. So if you say on average the diesel is about 7p more per litre thats £4.20 saving and over a 5 week month £20.80.

In asda at the moment thats 40 bottles of stella :thumb2

So whilst youve got Stella keeping you company, get on the phone and follow Cols advice :D

dan has a swb too so thule bars wont fit with the lack of rear doors

The ones pictures anove don't but thule do do a set of clamp onsfor the swb, johnathanM used to have some on his swb. they had 3 sets of legs as i recall, the centre ones being the ones that actually clamp on and pull the bars down the other 2 sets just rest on the roof.

I've got shortened astra estate roof rails on mine.

Cheers guys!

Well till late july i will be doing 2 180 mile trips a wek over to pompy and back, i claim about 101 pounds back so i make about 30 in milage.

I would prefere roof bars like col's, bit its just the rear one, which would mean drilling and installing it properly.
Also i would rather have lights up there too.

Well from my full tank i have done 388 miles and the needle has just gone in to the quater mark, so i reckon i could get 400 easy out of it.

Still getting used to the gear box, finding it hard to maintaio 30 mhp, and 1st gear is a right sod to get in some times, or maybe its on its way out?

There a bit of clinking underneath some times, could this be worn bushes?

Off to get some grease today for the sterring stops, gum remover to de badge it and remove the faded stickers ready for some off this site.

Cheers for jimmy for the door, its mint. I'll be changing it next week with a stoker buddy of mine whos a bit of a wizz on cars.

I saw someone post a servie kit (filters) on an ebay post for 12 quid, is it good or should i get the milners 35 pound on(oils and filters)?

Also due to my high milage, is it worth splashing out the 50 for a K & N?

The T2 in southsea pompy, by the WWII shack!

Had a quick look under the bonnet last week, is this the lead/ fuse for the towing gear?

more wires?

Also this cluster was above it, they dont seem very well protected from splash damage, ie fording or water ingress?
Is it worth covering them?

Air vent

Is this the only access the air filter has? from the light cluster?

Do you have a model number for the k&n or is it a t2 only one?
After installing it did you have it re-set the ecu(also is this done by disconnecting the battery for an hour?)

Dont qoute me on this but ya should just be able to put it on
I would of thought that its only performance cars that need re-maps or re-sets ;)
It should sort itself out after a few miles if it does run funny ;)

so is that a 57i one?

It is and well worth fitting. Beauty is you can always remove it and sell it on or use again if you get rid of the truck. Should give you an extra 2-3 mpg and a little bit more oomph (nothing spectacular but worth having!). JFDI! LOL:lol

might be worth changing the gearbox oil, mine is only a little stiff for the first mile til the oil warms up. Check the tyre pressure (correct pressure on plate on door frame) bouncy if too hard, also ride better loaded. I get 30+mpg on a long run but I never (well hardly ever) go over 2500rpm. the lower gears do take some getting use to......t2 dont like going slow!

Didnt bother resetting the ecu , general opinion was its a dynamic thing anyway and will sort itself.

I think the kit from memory is a 57i , if you search ebay for "terrano k&n induction" it'll bring back loads.

The cones are the same for all sorts of vehicles you just but a mounting kit for your specific vehicle if you have a cone or buy an all in kit if you dont :thumb2

so how good are these in water then ?

2nd that as i'm getting ready for a snorkle but if this does the same  i'd rather do that :thumbs
But...
I dont think it would hold the water out  as these are cleanable filterrs :thumb2
:clap Cant beat K&N :clap
