yes thats what I am trying to get at, there are 3 different shaped sockets so requiring 3 different diagnostic leads yes/no maybe ?

no only two 14 pin and 16 pin, both 16 pins are the same layout just different plastics, Rick
 
I had similar problem in the outback on Gibb River Road. Incredibly the only service station within 600km had the correct fuel filter. Fitted it in the dark at camp, next morning it ran better than ever before. Start cheap, check the garage that fixed the fuel pump also replaced the fuel filter, it'll look shiny new if it was replaced obviously. Anyway good luck

Does a fuel filter make the engine light go on ??? With the error "Bad comunication with ECU" ??
 
Also, sometimes when is ideling will die on me, but starting again without any problems and without triggering the engine light.
 
What is confusing me, is the fact that if it was the pump ecu, shouldn't be the engine light always on ? And not intermitent ?
 
I'm wondering if finding soemone with a 3.0l near you is a good idea and plugging theirs into your car :nenau

bad communication with ECU is referring to the pump ECU, chech external plugs and sockets but this pump has a history of ECU problems caused by poor solder joints in the pump, Rick
 
I think that the problem is solved.

Found 2 broken wires in the MAF harness, fixed it and everything was the same.

But now, when I changed the MAF for another , made a huge difference.

So, broken wires and defect MAF was the problem !!
