Out the 15 tests it does it doesn't say it will test the buzzer

looked at my T2 TDi scrapper and my TDi off road Mav both have a square white plastic box to the left of the steering column which is the buzzer, my road going TDi also has the separate buzzer which works for lights on but is only intermittent for reminding ignition key is still in, so suggests that the buzzer is fine but what triggers it is not, Rick

Think my problem lies with with the door switch as its not even switching the interiour light on but cant undo it as the screws rounded off

Do any of these vehicles have the TCU module just above the fuse carrier shown in post 8?

Sounds as though you may have found the culprit...
I guess you might have to drill it out as the head is not easy to get at.

no they have the older style fuse carrier these are all upto 98 models, I see the one in the pic has the smaller fuses, so much later, Rick

Very interested in how easy it is to swap a TCU out as mine has dodgy central locking and recently lost interior lights too. The lights do work, but only when manually switched. Door left open warning light on dash works as expected when any door is open, so the switches are all good.

I need to check the rear two doors for sending the 'locked' info back to the TCU as that part of the 15 step test failed, not sure how easy that will be. Not been the weather to kneel next to the car for a bit!

Sorry for the thread hijack!
