I want to lift my swb terrano, ive been told the cheapest way is to replace the springs with lwb ones and adjust the front torsion bars.

so my questions are:

1, if i replace the springs do i need to replace anything else? e.g. shocks?

2, does anyone have any lwb springs for sale? or wheres the best place to get them from? ive seen some on ebay but i am dubious about getting parts from there as theres a lot of crap on there would rather go of a recommendation.

cheers in advance

p.s. im working on a budget so i want the best quality for the cheapest money

Yerp, LWB springs will give your swb about 1 1/2 " lift but also a harder ride :(
Another way is to do a body lift at only £63 it keeps your existing ride right :thumbs

where do you get the kit from? also is it a diy job( i know my way round a spanner set)

cheers for that. if i lift it and also fit the new springs would this be better im just thinking clearance for the rear diff.

Only way u get diff clearance is bigger tyres/wheels

Body lift is imo a better option, but you really need to lift bumpers back up if you want it to look right, this is a pain in the arse

I'd put lwb springs on and wind torsion up first and see how u go, with a set of 31" cooper stt's :thumb2

is it just a case of fitting new springs would i need to replace shocks or anything else?

no springs will do for now, but then you'll want +2" longer shocks, which makeitfit has at around £80 i think

Gegs on japsite had some nice grabbers for sale or are u looking at 31-33 size

Yerp, longer shocks will allow greater movement of the back axle (articulation) and even better if you undo the rear arb for off roading :thumbs
I've only got a few left so do order asap wont you :sly £80 plus post :thumbs
