ok well tried the spring lift and its good but with all the problems ive been getting
and bluebulls constant problems, im going to stick at that for now for lifting modding the running gear its clear these trucks cant take it
now im definitely cutting the body to get bigger tyres on.
so as to give lift without re engineering any more of the running gear.
i had hoped to get 15"x10" rims on when i spend out on some new muds but im now at the stage of wondering if my big offset rims could be some of the cause of my problems too... i know i have them and bluebull has similar too and we are both getting problems . so the big offset could be putting it all under too much stress. its certainly picking up all the bumps and ruts in the road...so its likely
they are almost like reversed rims
over the weekend i shall be stripping the front end and having a good look at what parts are needed to rebuild all the suspension and tracking area to the front . at first glance thats going to cost around 200 quid. more if i find some super dooper dampers for it too and off course the fee for re setting it all ... when i find a good garage
another option im concidering is re enforcing the torsion bars or going for tougher ones.... but with my wallet as empty as it is. its looking like , im going to weld a strip along them for less flex and off course the front arb is going back on , its absolutelly useless without one and pointless unless you can put tougher shocks on ok you get a little more movement but very limited and its just floppy movement. not like a proper axle when you push one side up the other is pushed down with the front how it is its just floppy crap and drives like a boat with the stearing of a hovercraft
then off with the outer wings and start cutting to see what can be achived that way. once im up to the max trim and re fit the outer wings and probably have to make some arch extensions from fibre glass to pretty her up again
i got a friend coming over to look at other options too but i doubt there will be much room for anything else unless i switch to a live axle at the front but thats not going to be cheep............. good but not cheep
your thoughts everyone ????
