I hope you all know what I mean by this, basically my drivers rear brake line was knackered so I replaced it for MOT.

I'm hoping that its just a case it needs tightening some more, if that's not the case, is it common that they leak?
It looks like it's dripping from the union that is attached to the axle above the rear diff

Worse part is I've now stained the girlfriends mom's driveway as I'm staying there this week and need to clean it off before she gets back from Switzerland on Saturday

Whats best to remove it with?

never had one leak on any of my terrano's.if its been replaced then I would just check the tightness as not much else it can be.
just a 3 way block so unless its rusted through check the flexi and fittings.

as elty says just tweak it up a bit, as for the stain :nenau hot soapy water maybe or just lay some news paper over it and stand there telling the truck off :lol

I had a similar problem, turned out to be a leak from the flexible hose to the small distributor block, the fluid was running down the diff before dripping onto the floor - replaced the hose & block - sorted.

Where did you get your spare from?

Was it 2nd hand or new?

I got it from a local motor factor (in Spain, where my T2 is), seem to recall it was around 35 euros.

My 01 Terry had a rear brake pipe burst just as we got home from a caravan holiday, it had rotted through along the axle

when you put that joint together did you use fingers to screw it in most of the way or a spanner, if the latter you most likely crossed the thread
Something I learned the hard/expensive way, a long time ago

brake fluid is water soluble so should wash off with a water jet, Rick
