Look at it from a different perspective Jim, you have rescued a Terrano, a vehicle which well deserves rescuing and you are giving it the love it deserves. It has picked up a few bad habits while been mistreated for so long but if you stick to your regime of rehabilitation, love and care, it will one day live you back :):thumb2

P.s. do you still want to borrow that petrol can??

I'm just in front of mine at the moment a bit angry!!!!

I'm switching my brake shoes at the moment as it appears that I've had a slave cylinder pop and reseal itself and it's contaminated the shoes.

Managed to get 2 really cheap clearance sets from Premier Factors again, really can't knock these guys on price, I've just brought 2 sets of upper and lower ball joints off them too to do mine and the 3litre.

It turns out that their listing was wrong though on eBay and they have sent me x2 sets for the earlier, stronger H233 axle with the smaller brake hubs :doh

Lets see how their customer service is when I need to return something :nenau

Ooh ooh ooh any chance of some pics and a guide for the ball joints mate? :D

I'll see what I can rustle up ;)

Heat, a good balljoint splitter, angle grinder, big lump hammer, sockets and spanners and a good smoke.

I grabbed all my parts from Premier Factors but had to have a mix and match.

I've got a set of Blue Print upper's & FAI Lowers for Terrance and a set of First Line Uppers & FAI Lowers for the 3 litre

Decided to put the blue print ones on mine as the uppers take some abuse on my truck with the severe angles they are constantly working with. They have the added advantage of grease nipples so I can help them live longer, marginally

Ah so they are available with grease nipples, good to know cheers mate :thumb2

Cheers, added to watch list for a later date, I don't how old mine are that are on but eventually I will need to do some work on the front so when i do i want to do the lot, ie comp rod bushes-ball joints-disks and pads-wheel bearings then get it tracked up jice and straight, is there owt else on the front apart from steering parts.

Well done on the rear brakes Jim, when you do the drop links it makes it real easy to remove the links from the ARB if you remove the two U brackets and just undo the nuts from the wish bones, fit the new links to the ARB on the bench to get them real tight, (the number of not very old links I have seen that have worked loose is high, I suspect this is because it is difficult to get a good purchase in situ) it is also much easier line stuff up into the wish bones without the U brackets on, just support the ARB on an axle stand, Rick

Good idea Rick, will take a look at that. I have a set of Rose joints that I got off Bigbunny but not sure which truck to fit those to.

Jim
