ok, im completely lost now. it says remove the drive belt but i have no idea in that sea of belts how i get them all off lol. looks longer than an hours work to me aswell. i managed to get a brand new pump from my local motor factor for £40. just need the coolant on top of that.

im confident in the draining of the system and actually taking the pump off, but its the initial "remove drive belt" and "remove tdc sensor", its all gobbledigoop to me.

right, does anyone know of any members near paddock wood, tonbridge, tunbridge wells or surrounding that could help me out today fitting this water pump? im pretty desperate as its the only vehicle i have and its not really in drivable condition and i need it for work. im willing to pay upto £60 to get the help as a mobile mechanic has quoted me £30 for the job but cant do it until next wednesday.

cheers, simon

im not certain with you car with it being a petrol mav, but you will have to loosen the pulley for the pump, or it will be the alternator, Briggie will probably be abel to get a disgram. it'll be simple, but id expect to have to remove all the black belts you can see, usually the water pump is behind the drive belt etc. but i could be wrong, either way its simple mate enough im sure...

Before I go ahead with this, from what I've described, does it sound like the water pump?

I had a small leak a couple of years ago, it was one of the hoses, I just tightened the jubilee clip, and all the others since over time they had compressed the hose and allowed water to escape.
But the leak was only minor, no puddles though.

Just see if Simple si get home first....

all should be well.
