Leaking clutch flexi !!

Hi guys

I have a leaking clutch and have traced it to the flexi hose that runs from the small block thingy to the slave cylinder. I dont think its the slave as its completely dry but the flexi isn't. Can this be replaced or is it part of the slave?? Also does anyone have one knocking about somewhere??

Ok guys I hope someone can help me!!!!?????

My car has now been on ramps for 6 weeks and still cant get this clutch flexi. I have been to Ford and they only list one part and its not the one I need!!! So I went to Nissan and they said they list 8 different types but cant sell me one as its a Ford!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 8O 8O 8O

So I need a Nissan chassis number from a vehicle with this part!!???(its the one with the block on it with the compensator 'thingy'

Can someone help me??? PLEASE

I noticed mine was wet the other week, wiped it and thought nothing of it, just looked again now and :evil: wet again with a drip waiting to fall :!: :!:

I took the flexi hose off the vehicle and brought it into my local motor factors. After spending a few minutes looking through their hydraulic hose catalogue, I was able to find a hose to suit (albeit a little bit longer than the original). I think it cost me around £15. I ended up removing my damper pipe though as it was badly corroded so had to join into the main pipe from the master cylinder instead.

If you intend to keep the damper junction block in place, you will need to find a replacement hose with a double-flared end to join into the block and with a banjo joint of the same diameter as the original on the other end. Reckon you should still find something to suit in your local factors though.

Failing that, I'm sure someone could 'lend' you their VIN :smile: - You could use mine, but my T2 is the older (square headlight) model so not sure if it would be the same as your vehicle.

I keep meaning to do mine as a precaution. I've got a kit of braided hose and ends so can make it up myself once I know what ends are on it I'll be able to sort members out too as they need them (unless anyone knows what fittings are on each end already? anyone got an old one they could send me as a pattern?)

I THINK I've still got my original hose kicking round the shed. I will take a look tomorrow and see if it's still there. If so, I'd be more than happy to pop it in the post for you.

I can get a hose that fits but it doesn't have provision for the compensator?? What would this be like if it wasn't used??

The Ford part is just a hose without the block, just fits straight on the feed pipe from the master cylinder :roll: :roll: :roll: :roll:

Ford want £145 inc :roll: wonder if that included the block or is it fixed to the hose anyway, i've not had a good look yet..

When I was replacing my flexi hose, I just get a replacement that connected from the slave cylinder directly to the master cylinder pipe, bypassing the damper connector and pipe (as my pipe was badly corroded). Hummingbird: I found my old hose, but unfortunately I hadn't managed to get it seperated from the damper connector as the fitting appeared to be rusted solid (or is it permanently fixed as siweb asks???). I had tried using heat to loosen it, but the fitting actually split with me (and the rubber hose seperated from it) when I tried to remove it. If you are still interested, I could post you over the hose and the connector and see if it's any use to you. I guess you could size the banjo joint and hose length if nothing else... If you are interested, drop me a PM with your address...

When mine started leaking a month ago I took it to mr clutch and they replaced the pipe and the flued for £72.

Went to my loacal hydraulic place today and they made me one up without the 3 way block for the damper.. took em about 15-20 mins

£15 :smile:
