So finding it hard to describe my symptoms these days.

I am running on oil with a good mix of diesel and petrol along with a splash of two stroke.

The low down power tends to be quite strong.

My symptoms really are occasionally lazy when at 50/60+ mph.

You can plant your foot down and sometimes she just doesent really increase speed (well, at a very very slow rate)

For example, after a roundabout into a dual carriage way I went to overtake a car with a large caravan, he left me behind for about 6 seconds before my speed overtook his.

I still hit 90mph in a couple of spots, and after that the engine feels "ready and alive" but if just cruising about on the motorways ect and plant foot down she doesent seem ready... :nenau

Can't say its temperature related or weather related. It seems to be completely random.. :nenau

have you checked fuel filter :thumbs

Changed very very recently, which improed things tenfold but still engine light would come on at 60/70

After tinkering with fuel for several days I now don't get any engine lights atall. But just previous issues mentioned above

You are running on 32inch muds so that will down gear the truck a little so you will run out of power quicker.

No it's not the tyres, it's something that has developed within the truck itself.

Bear in mind I fitted the tyres at adz and it's been great for a long while.

The easiest way to describe is on occasion it does feel "lazy"

And infact the caravan incident was under 50mph...

Rick. Hs suggested mini filter will be a good place to look. It's just strange that these symptoms all started at the same time.. And a fuel filter seemed to cure for a couple of days, then a similar but slightly different problem occurred.

I tell you what, check your cvs, mine was making all sorts of weird and wonderful noises, I thought I had a loose heat guard or metal plating rattling around, turned out all to be the cv.

The fact that mine does about 95 surely indicates yours needs fuel lines cleaning Or something. Yours should be capable of it :thumb2

On track of course :augie

Did you try running on straight deisel:nenau
Mini filter does sound like a good thing to check.
Will have a look at your truck Sunday Steve but don't forget now you have got them 33's on all the front end steering/suspension components are under more load.

I get 100mph out of mine all day long on Veg and Diesel

I've only done this once late at night purely for testing before the forum Police arrest me lol

I know that test track, have used it too:augie

Quote" All day long" :doh Do you have in flight fuelling or a tanker running along side, that would kill the fuel consumption.

My Td can still do 95 on the same test track, and once on the test track she touched 100 according to the GPS too.

Now to avoid any admission of guilt... I have avoided stating whether the speed was in kms per hour, or mph.:augie

Joke coming up...
In fact when the police stopped me, they said we caught you doing ***mph
Ahh I said, not guilty, I've only been out for 15 minutes...:lol:lol

:doh:doh

I love your theories rustic :thumb2

And yes Elty dude I was on neat diesel for a while, still same symptoms.

It's a mystery.

Mini filter mine ran ok up to a certain speed and rpm. I'd be checking that myself

So as we know the mini filter is on the exit.... Of the fuel pump....

Does this mean we can remove it all together and stick one inline much higher up. I guess in theory the process is the same.

That way for future you could just pop it off and change it... :D

Alex mate, I think Steve is saying he doesn't do more than 75...

NOT that his truck can't do 95 :doh:augie

I usually sit about 65 in my Trol which is around 2750 rpm. From memory of the few times I've been up to around 80 I know the revs were pretty high, which is why I sit at 65 (better for engine and the fuel tank).

follow the fuel filter outlet pipe across bay and down to ip,the mini filter is on the top at the front of my ip.the overspill pipe is on top at the rear,do not know if a filter is in it.
both my t2 have had this done and both run well.
it a a 17mm socket way down but can be got to,be aware of the 2 washers,1 on top 1 under the banjo.
filter in the banjo,i drilled mine out and blew through and refitted.check for leaks.
i fitted a big in line clear filter in feed to filter unit so i can see state of my wvo in cold weather.
