im running a laptop with windows 7 im about to go out and plug it in and get some readings for you.

Another stormy day so no work today so when't out and connected the white SWB up to the ECUTalk, as i have finally got the old laptop i bought for this purpose up and running. Anyway, the fault codes read,No faults detected.
But as you can see form the screen shot With the car running, Throt V is moving round as I press the pedal. But Throt RLYA is not moving.
So what would this suggest ?:nenau

here you go live date from my car some of those sensors aint there thats why you get no reading turn all of these ones on the gauges settings.
what jumps out at me is your inj timing cv % its way out compared to mine its only 68.8 yours is 98.0ish way way different to mine

Took another sceen shot in dark bit better,Inj timing cv jumps wildly between 70-98

well its looking like your pump timing is way out which would account for these sort of problems or your pump is shot i would start with the timing as your

act inj timing is reading zero

Mmmmmm? This is looking worst case scenario,Pump replacement!

if the timing was correct then i mite say it was but your timing is way off so lets look at that as a starting point.

my readings are

rpm =725
throttle v =0.38
target f/inj mm3 = 4
c/sleeve pos =1.72 yours is 2.8 i suspect mine is incorrect as iv said previously so ignore this reading
act inj timing =1.0
inj timing c/v % =68.8

post yours up and lets have a look

rpm = 500
throttle v =0.44
target f/inj mm3 = ?dont think I have this gauge active
c/sleeve pos =2.8
act inj timing =0.0
inj timing c/v % =81.6 BUT JUMPS

so your actual injection timing is 0 i would suggest its wrong so it mite be time to adjust it. as far as i know its a simple of job of loosening the pump securing bolt and either advancing or retarding the pump timing, basically move it towards the engine or away from it but only millimetres or less

Just been looking at workshop manual, but it's a bit late now and things are just looking bla! bla! bla!.I will give it a look tomorrow it may make more seance then, Cheers,John:thumb2

workshop manual section ec page 338 onwards

Pump timing probs, what is the state of No1 injector, have you tested the resistance on the wire if Bosch one it should read 100 ohms, this may have been covered as not read whole thread, Rick

rick could be onto something about no1 injector but there are no fault codes showing when mine went i had mil light and fault code

No the ECUT showed no fault codes ,I will put a multimeter on the No1 injector tomoz and see what it shows
