Kumho KL71 Tyres. Cant make me mind up HELP

I don't know what the side-steps on the Terrano/Mav are like, but those on the 'Troll are no lower than the sills so don't cause a problem.

I have whacked the towball on the 'Troll several times. The big problem is not so much the towbar/towball but the caravan electrics. I got so fed up of having their mounting bracket bent that I've made up a bracket and fitted them directly under the rear bumper - worth considering, as the 12N and 12S sockets are definitely at risk if you do go laning.

I forgot to mention about the General Grabber AT2 - they are FANTASTIC in snow. I cannot imagine any tyre, AT or MT being any better.

Sadly the Terrano sidesteps and supporting ironmongery are quite a bit lower than the sill bottoms...probably not the end of the world to leave them on but every inch counts - least thats what my wife always says???

At least now I know what I am lokking at ......

This afternoon I sat having a cuppa in the sun looking at the Mav and it dawned on me as Lacroupade has said its the distance from front to back that is the issue on tyre sizes, anyone ever done that, "If you look at it long enough it wil eventually click into place" comes to mind as my old grandma used to say.
Anyway I digress, Its clicking into place nicely now and the latest thoughts are that I will go for 31 x 10.5 x 15 probably General grabbers AT2 as I like the idea of a rim protector as well and although I have looked at the enduros am I correct in thinking they are a remould??? type tyre, (did a kwik search on the grabbers and couldnt see any info to say they were a remould)
If the only thing I have to do is a bit of metal bashing on a seam then thats ok IF they rub, As for where purchasing probably Camskill who Ive never heard of but most people on here seem to like them not only for the price etc

need some tyres for the T2 (currently 235x75x15). considering i have 265x75x16's (AT2) on the patrol. I tried one on the T2... it fits... kind of.

going to need some tinkering (ok light hammering and an angle grinder) to ensure the full lock is achievable on the turning circle, but being able to swap 10 tyres around seems like a good idea...

anyone think i am nuts?

All my mods that I can remember are on my photo bucket link on the sigy:thumbs
Basically 2" spring lift and wound up torsion bars to match. Then the usual hammer down the inner wing flanges, remove mud flaps and severly hammer back the front end of the sill
My front wings are trimmed a bit too now but thats just me messin', you dont need to, and their not cut in the photo.
A lot depends on the wheel offset though. Mine are 8 1/2" wide 16 alloys but no idea what the offset is:augie

I need to buy 16 inch rims and spoke to Silverline this morning, they poo-poo'ed the idea of 265's and told me even if I did want some, the offset would be zero.

Are the spacers required to "make the fit" or just for the balance and asthetics

(oh if u know where I can order rims and tyres to my door please let me know)

My nsf tyre *just* touched the steering box , just means enough to mark the waxoyl but not enough to make the steering box shiny :lol

I dont think you need 20% heavier duty, that'll just be well hard:augie
You need some +2" springs, and they should be cheaper than that from Terranus too:thumbs
The offset thing is all in the wheel you choose. I've got one set that needs a 30mm spacer to clear stuff and the ones on now only just kiss the paint on extreme articulation:sly
I'll see if I can find the offset figure off the spare wheel.
