Have a look at you universals on the drive shaft for a start and possibly the engine mounts for a start.

On the xtrail, which axle is normally driven when in 2 wheel drive?
Terranos/Mavs are normally rear wheel drive so the front axle/shafts don't rotate. So it wouldn't be the drive shafts on them, but could be on yours.

couldnt it just be the power steering? PS is under morer pessure at low speeds....

Don't think its power steering tbh .. think its more along the lines of drive shafts / engine mounts route :augie :(

Still groaning and clunking lmfao ... tried quite a few thing now ... :augie:nenau:doh

have not had any probs like this on my x come up with is put it up on some ramps and give it a good looking at, if you are not mechanicaly minded get a freindly mech pay couple of quid get him to have a look, its hard to say with ouy looking first.

I dont know if you have sorted this problem yet but the workshop manual download on this site has A 05 model which apart from engine all else is pretty much the same I found it great for checking my brakes prior to doing the rears this last week :thumbs
