Isn't yours like mine? a basic TD without intercooler? In that case there is bugger all electrics in there.

Have you checked that the stop valve is wired correctly? i.e. is it stopping when it should be opening?

Pop the banjo off the front of the pump and use the primer on the filter to check if you have flow to the pump.

the stop valve does seem to be working, as tested it from a separate battery

Aye, but is it stopping when it shouldn't? also is it getting the signal to let fuel flow when it should?

Silly thought, but have you checked the mini filter area of the banjo? could you have managed to knock some crap lose somewhere that's now blocking fuel getting into the pump?

yep, defiantly getting signal as i ran it directly off a diffrent battery, still no go

haven't knocked anything with the injector pump, haven't even touched it

BUT you still have check you've actually got fuel TO the pump. If you have, THEN you can dissarm the stop sol. as described earlier.
That way you find out if it's still simply air lock or solenoid :thumbs
After the above you can restart your ecu quest :doh

both batteries are on charge, let's see if i can crack it tomorrow, wished i knew more about Terrano's:lol:lol

what else electrical does the engine need to run exept the cut off? also, how do you remove the cut off solenoid?

Nothing else electrical. There's a description further back in this thread mate. Read it back and you'll the help already given
How do you know the IP is goosed by the way ?

because fuel gets to it, no matter what position the soloniod is in, it, won't start

if you have not removed the cut off solenoid how do you know it's actually working correctly?

because it's clicking, but saying that, still might not be working, how is it removed? i couldn't see

So you've got fuel tp the banjo :thumb2
I can't remember how the solenoid comes out but it was mentioned earlier in this thread. It makes no sense that the IP would suddenly fail after it's last run you said you did to impress Zenka :nenau
I'd be undoing it (RTFM) then crack injector and crank a bit :thumbs

fair enough, i'll have another go:rolleyes: replaced the earth cable today as torched the other one with all the cranking......oops:lol :doh

if worst came i'll be scrapping, as after a Volvo 240, hopefully wont come to scrapping

You must be mad
Toby has a new mot I thought. Get the ruddy engine bled and it's worth some money as is
As a scrapper you'll be there for ages flogging off bits and eventually make some bucks yes but, fix the fookin' fuel issue and sell as a whole . Winter's coming , price will go up etc
Do it properly :p

just depends, if i can get enough money for something i'm wanting then i'll sell as S/R
