I'm totally peed off with my job

I have no debt / house or anything to worry about
The MAIN reason is the CSA FLEECING me

Doing 75 hours a week & nothing to show for it

Anyway :augie

Option 1 :
Stick at it & be depressed & moody

Option 2 :
Get sacked & claim :nenau (never been on the dole & dont want to

)

Option 3 :
Jack in, buy my stamp every week, do at least 1 full car valet a week, sign on with a employment agency & do the odd day here & there & start breaking 4x4's

Then deduct diesel / svo / bio £120

Food £200 (being a lorry driver & doing bloody service stations or London its not cheap

Doesnt leave much for the hours worked

I will say that she left me & the cash DEFINATELY doesnt go on my kids

= 600 a month - 2 kids is 20% changing soon in your favor

)= thats around 450 a month a lot of food

id say you need to cut your hours and stop spending so much. i cant see you will save with the csa they wont let go. but you can cut your hours and go for re assessment based on your new hours . then once you get it . put your hours up... they only chase and assess if your ex requests it . so dont be flush around her.

cant see optoin 3 working unless you change your lifestyle and give mum less . and christ thats a lot of food - whats wrong with a packed lunch

other thoughts are ! you need to do budget plans , seak advise from people in the know , and i know i keep saying it stop spending on stuff you dont need (packed lunches) or you will never get ahead of the game.

sounds crap, you wont like it . but its true ... you need to learn to play the system . always here if you need a chat or help

oh and another thought if your new mrs has kids you get reduction in your csa payments. now jo moved in im entitled to 25% reduction for over 3 kids . but im not rocking the boat .

Could you not cut down your hours and do valets / breaking as a side line?

Also does your employer not provide you with expenses to buy food?

On the fuel front... you drive a HGV... buy yourself a lengh of hose pipe and siphon a couple of gallons out!!! :lol :lol :lol ... might lead to option 2 though!!!!

Sounds like you should be self employed mate. Then you could at least claim back against tax your fuel and food etc.
You'll also be amazed at all the other er er expenses that a self employed chap has to claim for :naughty

I wouldn't be one to advise you but would only suggest that doing 75 hours per week seems heavy and bound to take a toll especially if there is ltttle to show for it at the end of the day. Do long hours myself. Would love to be doing something different with more time for myself and family but have committments and not too many options open at the present that allow me to meet my committments so staying with it and doing the best I can with the job and family and not thinking too much about the maybe's or what if's but keeping any eye out for opportunities.
On option 3 maybe you could become a 4x4 breaker in the South of Ireland and look for crazy prices for bits and pieces like some of them here and you might do very well.

If you see your kids then its a difficult choice.

If you don't and are under 30 I would sod off and work abroad somewhere warm unless you are in a new relationship.

I worked in Germany back in 1969 before we were in the EEC and enjoyed the experience. Did a stint working on a private yacht before that in 1967 and whilst in Gibralter turned down the chance of working on a yacht heading for Australia - always regretted not jumping ship!.

Now I am older I would stay put as most of my friends who have gone for a change just seemed to take their troubles with them and end up isolated in a strange place. Its at times like these that you need to count your blessings as my late Father used to say.

Are you in good health ?
Still have the limbs you were born with?
Not hungry ?
Have at least one good friend ?

Then it just sounds as if you need to change your priorities and put yourself first, cut down the hours and get the CSA payments reduced and be good to yourself - do more of what you enjoy !

The rent to my mum was agreed prior to the CSA steeling my money

Tried packed lunch & it doesn't work, only lorry drivers understand that
Its not like a factory when 1 o'clock comes eat ya packed lunch
You eat on your break or once your parked for the night
The pay is by the hour so the more i work the more i earn & vice-a-verser...

My lill 1's are Jay 5 & Fay 4 & i have fortnightly weekend access.
The court order is for my parents to collect & drop off.
I don't want to for my kids sake go near her after all she has put them & me through plus close friends & family.

To name but a few...

RAPE.! NOT ONCE BUT TWICE & YES 2 CHILDREN CAME FROM IT

How twisted & sick is that

While that was going on i wasn't aloud to see them & all 4 of us had to have DNA Tests

I was obviously innocent & she was done for wasting police time :clap
Thats just 1 of many nasty tricks shes tried

The kids are defiantly getting mentally abused & Fay possibly sexually abused but although the police / social (who i have NO faith in) / the school & CAF CAS know, they cant seem to get evidence

& as for the CSA, my solicitor & local PM have had no joy in 9 months regarding my case. They wont budge on what there taking nor will they give a breakdown of when from & why.?
The 1st i knew is when my boss told me
I called them that day & have had no contact since :nenau
There a law to them selves & must be responsible for weaker parents doing silly things

I will more than likely jack in at the end of the year, sign on with an employment agency & do 1 day a week only.
That takes care of the Tax & CSA :naughty
Then buy my stamp & do valeting & 4x4 breaking :augie :sly

Option 3, you must keep working at something.

I'm proud of the fact that in my working life (between finishing 6th form and to date) I have been unemployed for precisely one month and that was through being laid off and I spent that month on the looking for jobs treadmill.

I just cannot conceive jacking things in to deliberately live off the state and I intensely dislike people who do that. The dole is a crutch for when things go wrong not a lifestyle choice.

Having said that Ive always voted with my feet when Ive been unhappy somewhere.

You must maintain some self pride, I'd suggest the reason youre asking this is because you want to

Do what you want to do mate, then you start to feel a whole lot better, it has already been said, do not get the sack as your benefits will be affected. When i had trouble with the csa i dropped out of the system, sold everything and did my own thing. My kids could not understand why i was doing this, but as they got older my son thought i did the right thing, i suppose it made MY small family a closer one. You will earn less money but you will be happier and in a better frame of mind, If you are working at some thing you enjoy you will find that you look forward to your sandwich an apple and yoghurt for lunch and you will be healthier as well as saving money. I have never worked overtime either there is more to life than work, the more you earn the more you spend but not always on the right things.

adz you can buy anything you can buy in a garage at tesco. just take your own and keep outa the garages. simples


anyway your out goings are way too high to be doing 1 vallet a week, so re negotiate your outgoings.

I cant do less hours as thats not how general haulage works otherwise i'd work 9 - 5

If you can contact & speak to the CSA then youve got further than me, my mum, my solicitor & my local MP.!
