last weekends green lane session pointed a few problems out.
I know about the snapped wishbone washer.
but the clunking over a tame road like houndkirk told me there was more.
these were new 6 months ago

and looking at that picture its time to get more hammerite and waxoyl.
ive come to realise its an ongoing job.

I fitted me boost gauge today but the vacuum tube is way too short.
its one from aggressive gauges and glows blue.
I found a wire behind the stereo that was only live on ignision.
it worked great till I dove up the road and was flashing enough to give some one a fit..
I think I will have to put an independent switch on that

You can't really tell with that picture, due to the parallax, ie angle of the shot, but there is a big gap between the broken parts, front to back, your front ARB isn't bent is it?:nenau

Could be a reason for premature failure. :nenau

I have sourced an exhaust but it my need a slight bend. is it ok to just bend or heat bend?
and can they be welded ok? or is it galvanised or summat?
new drop links and washer.
cheap fix.
and then protection again.:doh

eat, sleep, rave, repeat.
drive, break ,fix, repeat.

Blimey that exhaust is impressive, didn't notice your ears bleeding at traffic lights? :nenau

No amount of exhaust putty will fix that :lol :augie

it is a big gap.
and the other side looks compressed.
I will look into if its shifted or bent:thumb2

Time to take the centre box out I think:thumbs As for you boost gauge just piggy back off the rear of the cig lighter:D

I chopped half of the exhaust off last week. and my ears do slightly hurt.
I don't know if its the cooper stts.no carpets.no boot cover or side cards.or just the snorkel sucking air in.:nenau

Mine has only the centre box & is as quite as my last one that had 3 boxes on so if you want a deeper tone a smaller center box is the way to go

ARB drop links are poo , Make your own with a good rose joint and good sized bolt.
Have you lifted your suspension as that will make the ARB look off or out of place. What should happen after a lift is the use of extended drop links .
