That's a shame Rick!

I'm making the most off it, because I always feel the snow never seems to fall here! :thumbs

No hidden posts... I even managed to drive thru a few gates without incident! :lol

You do right mate, and obviously the bfg at's are very good in the snow, lazyferret rates his in the snow (well his wifes) and mine performed well too :thumb2

Did you have much snow stuck too the bumper?

I got one BFG on OSR new but today quotes £185 per tyre no way so if anyone wants it at reasonable price then get back to me Rick

The bumper was pure white, and all my steel wheels were white too!

I reckon my standard bumper would have gathered a lot of snow as it is lower, yours is higher so will ride over tge bigger drifts, I reckon I could whip you a snow plough up if you wanted :D

Finally got my chance to have a play in the snow.
Got home from work to find a mate waiting for me.
He asked if would go and recover his dad who was stuck a few miles away in his freelander.
I thought it would be a simple pull him out and be on our way.
How wrong was I.
He had gone for a drive to a place called Alport heights near ambergate in Derbyshire.
This is what I was greeted with when I got to where he was. IMG_20180302_144853.jpg

thats pretty bad. Was he stuck in there somewhere

He was just round the corner in the left of the picture.
He had come down a hill into a blind corner and straight into a drift.
Was no way I could drag him back up the hill as I was struggling for grip myself.
I ended up doing a loop to get to the front of him and lots of digging and ploughing later got him back to sound ground.

No huge drifts like some of you guys, but every single road in the whole of the city is covered in snow. Up to about a foot deep. Its like one huge interconnected drifting track.

This country does not know what snow is and I fail to see what the EFF is up with it that we grind to a halt at the first showings, Rick

Yes Rick, over here we do not know we are born as far as the weather is concerned. The organisation that I work for is all about safety so this week my dept worked from home for two days, we have the ability to do so and still provide the same level of support for the organisation. Both my sons and my wife all made it in to work, my eldest son had to set off at 4 in the morning because he does start early and he was in a little Polo and had no problems driving in to work.
