bloody hell,do this please.
remove inter cooler do not drop anything down air pipes, connect live to fuel cut off valve to make it open, have someone try to start it turning it over now trickle derv into o/s inlet pipe the one the inter cooler was on drivers side,it will run all the time you trickle fuel into it,bleed injectors while running till fuel comes out,now it must piss out under a lot of pressure if it only trickles out it must be shot ip but if it comes out under high pressure after you have bled all 4 and still not run on its own its got to be nats.
we never give up lol

Thanks Panelbeater yours& everyone elses persistance& motivation is buying this terrano time! I'll deffinately try that this week.

The knowledge here is unreal :clap

Watching this closer than anyone else at the moment as I've got a pump swap on the cards very soon

I'll second that:clap

I had watched that vid Blocky10 it looks promising. My understanding is that guy has found a way to re set his nats system every time he turns the key as he found that cured his starting problem. I'm not sure if thats the same problem as mine or slighly different but it was well worth a watch:thumb2

I had limited time last week but i tried connecting a 12v feed to the solenoid but still no fuel at the injectors. It seems that i have a nats 2 system which is now locked out. I think this is indicated by the security light on the dash being illuminated when the ignition is on.

I searched the intenet for how to bypass nats2 which seems very difficult the video link further up this page bypasses a nats system via the dongle but i think (ready to be corrected!) The dongle is only used in the nats1 system. I have searched for a dongle behind the glove box, behind the centre console and under the steering column but not found anything. If anyone has any info on bypassing a nats 2 system it'd be greatly appreciated.

If not it a tow job to nissan for unknown costs? I feel violated aleady!

You cannot bypass NATS 2 (as far as I know) why were you locked out, (typically 3 start attempts with a bad key will do it) this does not need Nissan to sort, any good mobile car locksmith will be able to reprogram/read your key and sort it, simply putting 12v to the stop solenoid will not help as NATS simply says throttle closed on overrun= no fuel, Rick

I'm not sure why it locked out I've just been using the only key i have for it that has always started it fine. Im not 100% sure if the nats ptoblem was my origional problem or if the nats system has just locked for some reason because of the new fuel.pump or all the tinkering ive been doing with it. The free running ecu sounds promising, I'll give them a call for some advice i think.

Its a mystery to me as to why the immobiliser has locked out I'm sure there's an explanation I just don't know what it is.

On a positive note I've spoken to ecutesting and they said there's two options the first and cheapest would be to send my ecu to them and they remove the immobiliser from it, second option would be for them to supply a new ecu that has no immobiliser.

They are going to call me tomorrow and confirm if they can modify my ecu or not......there is hope!

Hi,

I was looking on the net for something completely different and the one link led to another and I ended up on this. I know it has been touched on in this thread. So thought I would put it up here as someone else's experience.
To be honest I am out of my depth so if this is inaccurate or rubbish or in no way useful Mods please feel free to remove :thumb2

Broken Plunger spring in his pump, could it have been disturbed during fitting or being handled the wrong way up etc?

Interesting post thanks for sharing. I'm hoping that my new pump is ok because it has actually ran with it on for about 15-20min. It was only after then that the nats seems to have locked it. Hopefully if I sort the nats issue, new pump can work as normal but I am an optomist!

I just re read one of your posts Ric about a mobile locksmith, i have spoken to a guy that most people use locally&he said he couldn't really do anything with nats. I was told about another guy the other day though so might be worth contacting him to see if theres anything he can do.
