Hi guys need some more help please !!!! I put my code reader on my truck today as she is still very flat and sluggish. I could not find any fault code ;the only thing that I could come up with was on live readings . Should my intake air temperature be 215 o/c ?!!! I would of expected it to be around 55o/c . Is the intake air temperature sensor part of mass air flow sensor or is there some other on the truck that I don't know about !!! cheers rich

Yes, it's a hot wire maf, it works out loads of stuff with that one wire even boost pressure !

Replace with genuine Nissan only

99% of problems are caused by a gay maf

it is possible to link the temperature sensor with a resistor, preferably variable, not sure of the value, but this kids the ecu into thinking the air is cooled than it actually is and so fuel is increased, I have tried it on my petrol and while no detectable power increase the fuel consumption is a lot better so I am thinking the sensor may be bad, I have several spares but had no time for a test of them yet, they are separate on the petrol being in the intake on top of the throttle body with the maf on the side of the throttle body, so only two wires makes it easy, Rick

On a diesel I can confirm that 215C is normal having checked on my old Bosch air flow meter and the new genuine Bosch replacement gave exactly the same reading.

A"Gay" Maf?? That doesn't make sense LOL. Why would a happy and cheerful MAF cause problems?

thanks guys for your help .I have replaced the maf sensor and she seems to be back to her old self ,but I wont know for sure until I drop the caravan on the back and go up a big devon hill . thanks again guys for all your comments cheers rich

As cold as u can get . Cold air is denser so more of it which means. More fuel can be burnt which means more power:D
