Just getting my insurance sorted out got to recommend Dave brewer, good quote covers for any offroading green laning mods absolutely fantastic and when you speak to the guy he actually understands 4x4 culture faves number is 08456588544 soho on give him a call don't think any one will be disappointed

Just done mine, all mods declared £250 with dave

Also had mine with him last year would be worth asking if they would be willing to do a club discount :lol

Ironically, My wife is trying to get a quote from him, for both her new Terrano, and mine when it comes up in a months time... So far it has taken 24 odd hours, with still no firm quote, and he told her to go and get other quotes, as he would not give her a quote without something to compare to...

I am old fashioned, I like someone who quotes a real price when asked, not looks me up and down, and decides how much he can fleece me for...

I have left in my wife's hands, as she has more patience, but we need to tax the car, or at this rate SORN it, before we get fined. We wanted to use it at the weekend, so when I get a chance later, I think I will have a look around, and go with the first one that gives me a genuine quote that seems reasonable, as I have better things to do than spend hours filling out form after form.

So in short, don't bother with him unless you have a quote already, no point if it is a new to you car, as he is no help at all....

Also took over 24 hours for my quote but!!!!
He saved me £286
Alot cheaper than anywhere else I found apart from adrian flux but they were still £100 MORE
Not keen o flux anyhow had a few problems in the past because of mods on a r5gtt

I think his unwilling to give u a quote is more down to he doesn't want to be dearer; he wants to be your cheapest quote from the off.

So who else did you go to, After reading all the bad reviews on the web for Adrian Flux, I would not go there.

One of the problems is, because it is a grey import, a lot of the on-line ones don't list the car on their drop downs, or if they let you search by registration, list it as completely the wrong car. Best so far is a 2.5 Petrol 2 door Patrol... (It's a 2.7 Diesel 4 door Terrano) Close:lol

I must of phoned every company I could find online that would cover for offroad use but as soon as I declared mods they didnt want to know and quoted silly money.
I had it insured with asda before I started using it offroad and that was £600 a year me and the better half shes 22 and im 24 nearly 25:augie which shoulf help didnt have any no claims to use as I had too many cars at the time and obviously can onl use ncb on one car.

I looked into traders inc personal use can get a policy for £1460 :sly which might be worth when I aquire my next vehicle :D
