There are too many arseholes, insurance companies and police included, skimming off the top by allowing people in luxury cars to have expensive like for like replacements and then taking weeks to complete simple repairs. Then there are the ambulance chasers.

F*ck the lot of 'em.:mad::mad:

Insurance Renewal with NFU

Got my renewal from NFU yesterday £653, got a quote from Sureterm of £540. What the heck is going on? we don't do anything special or have loads of mods.

Jim

PS top it all off whilst I was on phone getting quote the wife reversed her car in to the back of the truck!!!! first car I looked at was OK tho:thumbs, wifes got a right dint in her motor tho:doh

Just got renewal (NFU) for the R3mR its £463.03 with 3 years NCB, £250 excess fully comp. Nearest online quote so far is £450 with £350 excess.

Insurance is much more on a Mistral. They instantly add around £200 to the price as it is an "imported" car, and so parts cost more! You can tell them the parts are the same price as the non imported ones...to no avail. My old insurance company insured me for my saab 900 2.0 - me and wife fully comp £187 - but when I changed to the Mistral they wanted over £800 -tossers.
After much searching online and ringing around I got one at £400 fully comp with Mayfaire.
When I was searching around I asked the cost of third party (as then the cost of parts for my imported truck do not come in to it) believe it or not, some companies charge MORE for third party than for fully comp!!! So they want to charge us more for less cover!! When asked why the reps have no answer.

Well ive got 10 years NCD ... clean licence etc ...

my mistral fully comp protected last year was £495 with NFU ... last week got renewal of £830 !!

Thats around a 65% hike !!!!!!!!!!!!

Told them where to put it !

My insurance on my astra went down now only £240 (£270)(2 years ncd full comp)
Thats with ASDA

Hey All,

Havent been about for a while but thought i'd add my bit :)

Just insured my patrol 1990 for the 1st time, called round 12 companies and found Performance direct the best by far!

£305, Import, fully comp and all mods!!! (turbo, suspension and body lift, snorkel, wheels etc......)

Oh...and if you call Adrian flux, they only insure on the driveway for up to 4k, if you say its worth over that and then back track while on the phone they refuse cover!! Ha! crazy.

I am 41 years young, 23+ years NCD, wife on the policy, No points or convictions for either of us.
End of August I paid £210 3rd party F & T, protected NCD and legal cover.
Was £187 the year before.
Gone with Bradford & Bingley insurance. Got the quote through Argos compare.
This did give me a £30 Argos voucher for buying through them so technically I have only paid £180:clap

I have just paid £274.00 fully comp with More Than.

That's me and a named driver (both over 40 with clean licenses).

£150.00 excess, £100.00 voluntary & £75.00 windscreen.

11 years NCB not protected.

I thought it was a fair deal and allowed me to get away from Shielas Wheels, who are part of eSure. The worlds worst insurance company (from my experience).

Alan
