So if the 3L is on borrowed time, looking at replacement options.
We have decided next truck doesn't need to be a 7 seater.
Could be very late Terrano but much as loved them may be time for change.
All this chassis rot issue has put me off Pathfinders, shame as did seem
the evolution.
Had a Patrol, could have another and easier now have smaller car for urban,
but might be too big and whilst like simpleness maybe like few more features.
Shogun, guess always been in background since Terrano beat it as our choice
15 years ago, suppose almost Nissan these days. Plenty of toys and do like
as real transfer lever and handbrake, suppose bonus 7 seater too.
Grand Cherokee, likely the 05-10 WK version. Liking is capable 4x4, tons of
heritage but don't see many about. Merc motor looks good.
X5, stop laughing, more of them about than Jeep, lacks low box, but many have
hill decent control, traction control. Fast road SUV and to be fair where most of
our trucks have lived.
LandCruiser, either but imagine Colorado is most practical, seem to hold their
money.
Discovery, realistically D3/S3. Like boxy styling but beyond the rivalry green
oval has in other marques, dont know that much of them. Back in day T2 also
won over a S1 Disco.
Others, well I have always thought Freelander types too small for caravan, twin
axle, but plenty seem to manage them. Maybe are heavier and more powerful
than Terrano generation, suppose could factor in X Trail. Plan long term is going
bit smaller caravan too.
Open to any other ideas.
