ok , your mistral does not have a choke ( its diesel ) .... what you are refering to is a hand throttle ....... yours is a 1996 model , so does it have a intercooler ? ..... ie a scoop on the bonnet ?

Should have gone to spec savers , they'd have done a better job than Kwik Twits :lol

Depends what 'round the corner' means. Takes 2-3 miles for the fuel in the pipework to be used and for fresh fuel from the tank to get to the engine.

Thats how long it takes to conk out when you put petrol in it :augie

So if it really WAS round the corner, discount the additive completely.

Just shows you how much i know about cars Briggie.

No it's just got a flat bonnet,

Thanks Lacroupade, it could not have been the additive then.

Takes a lot to stop one of the old engines.
My guess is the fuel has been interupted, so have a look where the aircon charge pipes are and see what fuel lines or controls run past it, or close by it, and imagine a drunken gorilla is trying to do the job. Now think which way the "technician" went in to do the job.:doh

Then you have found the problem....:lol

he might have knocked the filter or connectors that side of the air con pipes, thats where the air con enters the cab...
