will it keep them in memory?. because it only flashed up when it the engine got the boost . I just would like to know what would have cause the boost. it has been running abit lumpy for a couple of weeks . I got consult but no laptop to run it . the last time I ran it on my mates laptop it came up saying maf sensor was at fault and then it said the ecu was . so I paid a garage to check and that came back saying it was all fine and that was the first time I got the truck and it was misfiring

anybody any ideas . I can't afford a garage at the moment .

in the downloads section, is a factsheet that tells you how to read and clear the codes with a paperclip, I would read and make a note of the faults, clear them, and take it for a run, then read it again.

That should point you in the right direction.

What you describe could be so many things, from Crank shaft sensor, MAF, fuel pump, bad fuel, dodgy wire... You need to fault find the problem to pin it down to a specific area, which the fault codes will help you do.

I have checked the codes and it flashed 5 long then 5 short which is no fault found . so what would make it get a sudden engine boost . it was if I let my foot of the clutch suddenly but we was where in a the middle of the town accelerating up to 30mph ish

no. i'm going to do the 2 little bits that go to the filter today. I did notice when I opened the filter water sensor there was some grit in it

right here is a update . I have changed the 2 fuel line going to the filter and primed it up . then I started the engine and saw a load of air go into the filter. I gather it was the air from the fuel going back because I took the fuel line off . now that has stopped and but I can't seem to get the air out of the filter . I have tried just running it and you just see lots of little air bubbles like when you pour a fizzy drink out . plus I have tried priming it has it is running . but when priming it I seem to get a lot more bigger and smaller bubbles coming out of the fuel line .but I can't seem to stop all of them . help needed

If there are no sensor issues, then I am afraid my next port of call would be engine oil in the Turbo... When my turbo was leaking, if I braked, and the car was facing slightly down hill, the oil had splashed into the turbo, and the engine would run away, it was very frightening... obviously, I did not know what it was at the start, but as time went on, it got worse and worse, until one time, as I went over a speed hump, the car tried to pull away from me, so I dipped the clutch, and the engine revs shot up to 5000, and the whole car disappeared in a cloud of smoke. I turned the engine off, and it eventually died, but not straight away

Take the large hose off the front of the turbo, and see if there is any oil in there... Mine actually ran out as I pulled the hose off.
