horn sounds when turning

HI, my horn as started to sound when I steer, usually to the left, not all the time but embarrassing when in traffic. It is intermittent some times just a wee barp and sometimes full on. If it on full a quick bang on the pad stops it. I am a bit wary looking at the contacts and wiring as the horn pad also contains the airbag. How do I isolate the air bag so it wont go off in my face? I used to work on aircraft and we were told more people were killed by ejector seats than lives saved, this may have been a rumour to make sure we took more care.

There's a anti vibration lump of metal in the wheel. Mine did the same with the horn. You can pull it out with long nose pliers from the side panels.

Dont disconnect the airbag. Just work from the side and be careful.

This happened to me in the SWB, if its the same problem which I think it will be, it is the anti vibration pad which has come loose. lt looks a bit like a break shoe with rubber pads on it. mine did this for a while and eventually fell out! If you take off the large cover it should be visible just take it out.

Sunny today so I had alook inside the covers and as described there was this iron lump rolling about, so fished it out and threw it away....... ok now, thanks gents. Regards bri.
