Hobby management

Hi folks.
I haven't been around much for the last few months due to a new/re invigorated hobby and my lack of hobby management:lol.
As you are all probably aware my Patrol was off the road for nearly a year due to the dreaded tinworm amongst other issues. So I had no choice but to cycle to work on a bloody fold up bike I had bought for when away caravanning.
Well during this time I started to actually enjoy my commute to work but thought it would be better if I had a bike more suited to my needs, so I bought the Specialized Hardrock 29er that I have previously posted pics of.
Before I knew what hit me I was buying proper cycling apparel and a couple of my friends asked me to go cross country (xc)riding with them.
Well it it seems to have spiralled from there a bit and I now appear to be addicted to cycling easpecially xc and trail riding and as a result have another mountain bike ( my old Giant bought back off my son)lol. This is my trail bike and the Spech my work hack.
Anyway as per title, I think I need to manage my hobbies a little better as I seem to have neglected the 4x4 hobbie a little for which I apologise profusely.. I just hope you can all find it in your hearts to forgive my neglect:bow

Been told Cannock Chase is a great place to ride:thumb2 you a member of any Mountain bike forums ? i'm on MTBE (same user name):thumbs I used to race semi pro but retired 22 years ago now as I started to drive & lost a lot of interest in mountain biking:doh My old bike which was a 91 Kona Cindercone I exported out to Berlin a few years back so bought a 2011 Kona Cindercone which was ex display:augie hoping to start getting back out on the bike again but that all depends on the nerve damage i've got

Just looking at the pic of your Giant it's not a talon 2.5 is it ?

Nice bike you have sweety and yes it is a talon 2.5 mate. I used to cycle a lot in my youth but like you lost interest when started driving.

Thought it was the Son has the same bike 2008/9 model I think:lol the only parts that haven't been replaced is the frame, seat post & clamp:lol it's running a shimano XT group set with XTR crank & fox forks makes my Kona seem heavy:doh If you PM me your email I can send you a PDF on how to build & true up your wheels:thumbs

the shogun bike I have cost £500 over twenty years ago the other one is a specialized comp you probably won't remember the shogun :thumbs

Afraid the only shogun I know has 4 wheels.lol. Im not a member of any mtb forums as yet but I am a member of various face ache pages like Cannock Chase trails. This pic is of about thirty of us a couple of months back. The kid at the front with green top is a school kid who has foster parents and wanted to get into mtb but didn't have the means to do so. The chap shaking his hand got us all together and between us and a local bike shop kitted the lad out with a bike and cycling gear. We have monthly rides at the Chase now.
