Welcome:thumb2 well if you wanted a real 4x4 thank god you didn't buy a Land Rover:lol:lol:lol & bought a Nissan:thumbs

cheers guys, firstly i need to sort the rusty seat belt mounts under rear arches, should do that sunday weather permitting, then im gonna rustproof the underside with schutz, then its tackle the few rusty bubbles above plastic trim on wings, lol and hopefully thats that sorted. i want to buy a bull bar, cant justify the price of a new one though, but doubt there are no second hand ones around :nenau this is my first 4x4 so i need to adjust to driving it first then i would like to jack it up a little with fatter tyres?? i will be getting ideas off the clubs members, :thumb2 as for the engine i think its great!! so just a service there. :thumbs

Yeah depends what you wanna do, you can keep existing wheels and put AT tyres on, or get steel wheels with anything on, or get a bigger size, or get wheel spacers upto 40mm, these push the wheels out makes em look beastly (someone link picture please :D)

Bullbars are cool but limit your ground clearance, why not do what I'm planning and get aftermarket bumper? (Again done on here in projects section)

Lift is easy, torsion can be wound up at the front, and the cheapest way is spring spacers at the rear (cost me 25 quid) but the proper. Way is longer springs and longer shocks (at the rear) and then of course there is body lift which I know very little about.

There is this, but for that price you are nearing bumper territory

when you say torsion can be wound up at the front what do you mean? lol ive seen the spring spacers, thats something i may do initially whilst saving for the longer springs/shocks etc :D

Yup same way i did it. Spring spacers are only at the rear, the front height is determined by a torsion bar. In lamens terms, it needs to be wound up on either side to raise the height (not by springs or spacers)

So yeah, spring spacers for the rear and a wind up of the bar on either side at the front. I was lucky enough to get a member on here help me with all the work as I am not experienced. :thumb2

OMG!!! :D Cant believe how many replies ive had, lol thanks for the warm welcome!! i will put some piccys up when i get time ,its pretty much standard, i bought it with full service history, and yes ,the rear seat belt mounts on both sides have gone so i expect i`ll be stripping the carpet and seats out ready to plate. just looking at mig welders on the bay, although i am a competent welder. may as well just buy a new welder just in case anyone else needs to use it hehe :lol Im from a little village called gt wyrley by cannock chase, nice to see another local. ive bought the old girl to tow a caravan, and my daughters horse trailer occasionally, but i do hope it snows!!!!!! :sly i will join as a full member tomorrow night :thumbs

You are a stone throws away from me mate :) I work at South Staffs on Green Lane, I've got a lad who works in my team from Great Wyrley and I ride the chase every Tuesday :thumb2
