bought three weeks ago, changed clutch master cylinder next day and supposidly had new one month earlier with slave cylinder. clutch still not right but working. bigger problems below
hi, have been on another fourwheel drive forum for years, will pay for membership when the army decide to pay me this month.
have changed locking wheel hubs, the outer bits with the six allen bolts.
drivers was rusty outer and was locked in, after driving home in 2wd and reversing to park in car park so shouldn't have been locked. original passenger side was '' missing '' the locking ring. this has been replaced the day before.
so current changes, added two outer locking hub units from a matched set from scrap yard vehicle looking in good shape. same axle for same axle.
still no 4wd. jacked all wheels up today and run first gear. front prop locks into place and passenger side drive shaft turns, NOT driver side.
when on ground if i turn the drivers drive shaft the passenger turns in opposite direction, and vice versa turn passenger drive shaft with wheels on ground and drivers turns in opposite direction.
they only turn slightly though and go tight/stiff.
is the diff considered to be working correctly if the drive shafts both move when one is turned? suggests to me that the diff is working, so.......
it has to be one or both hubs right??
please help.:doh:doh:doh:doh:doh:doh
