sally is a bit hesitant starting first thing in the morning , or when left a long time ( over 4 hours )

symptoms are ...

all red lights on dash seem ok

slowly turns , but fires first time

when warm will fire easily

am i correct in assuming that the battery may have a cell that is down thereby drawing the battery current when not in use ?

confer and discuss

check the battery voltage when the engine is running first to make sure alternator is charging it.

Could be starter motor or battery.

Dahn sarf were I come from [well a bit south of Watford] the local battery specialists will check the battery with a load tester thingy, check electrolyte, then check charge rate, so you can see the state of battery or charge, before they attempt to sell, if a new one is on the cards that is.

the reason i suspect the battery is ....

when running , everything is fine ... lovely bright lights etc ,proving to me at least the alt is ok .

i suspect that when the car is not running and left overnight for example ., there is a form of current drain on the battery , the only reason i can think of this is a dodgy cell on the battery .... but i may be wrong

Have you got those little lights near the sun roof switch?

Flattens my battery over a few days:doh

id suggest battery, my MX3 does the same, the cold kills it as well. How old is the battery?

er i dunno mate , same one that was in when i bought it i think

if it is the battery , its gonna have to wait untill i get home , unless of course it packs up totally before then

could be the battery but most unlikely to pack up completely, have you checked the water? Rick
