my 98 is crystal clear neil so maybe down to old rig,

wow harvard thats a blast from the past, i ve got a mustang 1000 from first weeks of 27/81 still works even got box and manual.

Managed to get it fitted today & i'm getting no noise from it :smile: So it must have just been my old rig bless it (The Harvard 400M was my 1st rig & never let me down untill now )
A few of my mates used to have mustang rigs rbrt & they used to work well

I took a feed off the back of the fag lighter. I only use it for charging phones or the sat nav so the extra current draw from the CB is negligible compared to the cigar lighter, bit more reliable off road than a plug in jobbie and leaves it free for other stuff too.
