The man in my life decided that even though the t2 was running spot on he would put a new set of glow plugs in:nenau:nenau

Well now my t2 is not starting very well and clouds of blue smoke are comming out on start up:doh:doh:doh

He now has given me back my t2 says he does not want to drive it now:mad::mad:

Can anyone think what he may have done:nenau

Or its another trip to the garage:doh:doh

Thanks everyone:bow

Poor Sam, he's in for it now:eek:

So where are the old glow plugs? can you not try refitting those as I've heard some are not as good a quality as others.

id say the new ones are prob not working then....... maybe he forgot to connect something ............. ay

Sounds to me that your fiddling so n so has fitted cheapoglow plugs for your local discount motor factor.
Alot of cars now need spot on copies to the originals regarding voltage/resistance rating.
options:
1, Put your old ones back in.
2, check all terminal connections, could be slack, or he's disturbed something, look for the obvious.
3, if your engine is really lumpy on start up, as though the engine is "missing", then it's most likely the new plugs/circuit.
4, Dump your fella, and get yourself a proper engineer :)

:sly Hide your keys , dont make his dinner, keep your pants on tonight:sly
