Only just joined this club today so bear with me.

I have ran our LWB Terrano11 2.7tdi 1999 for 6 years and it has been very little bother. 2 days ago the engine check lamp came on and the engine now starts with a knock and runs with no power. My cousin has plugged in a code fault reader and 2 codes are present and wont reset. CODE 34- NEEDLE SENSOR and CODE 96 -ENGINE RPM OUTPUT SIGNAL. I have contacted a local auto electricians and once i told the chap both codes and the symptons he straight away said that it will be a failure of the sensor within Injector number 1. I have many spares for this car that includes panels, running gear and engine parts including a head. The diesel return pipes on the spare head looks different but i am still going to see if the injector in the spare head will fit mine tommorrow and hopefully clears the fault.

Has anybody had any similar fault to this??

Any advice greatly appreciated.
