just got the answer, I found the right woman, and after 40 odd years together we still have it every day, and I am 65, so the relevance of this is to be sure of the woman you chose to live your life with, but I guess I was lucky and this is no easy task, Rick

Yeah, good work:) I'm just going to wait until the right person comes a long, will meet more people when I pas my test, could help stranded girls in landrovers :lol

I think its quite amusing to be fair:lol:lol:lol. But back to topic, i have found that the steel pipes attached to the axle leg have completely rotted through, so made some new ones from copper brake pipe and temporarily fitted them to test but still no joy so having another look 2mos

Well i managed to re pipe the difflock, went about 200 yards and the bloody thing came back on so removed the top pipe used my air line to switch difflock off and have stuck a rubber cap over the pie to prevent dirt getting into housing. So she's back on the road but has no difflock for now

Yeees, there's your 1st stumbling block, 4x4+woman=0 :doh

yep we are few and far between, most girls just like the look & speed of cars and not the mucking about underneath them, which i quite enjoy until lack brute strengh gets in the way :doh
