HELP Whilst waiting for the missus to come out of supermarket, i was sat in the Trol fiddling with switches as you do and flicked the diff lock switch on and then off. Then as we drove home (about 1 mile) i thought the car didn't feel right and spotted the diff light was on but the switch was off. Now the diff lock is is stuck on PLEASE HELP :confused::bow

Just spoken to a mate and he thinks there is a soloniod on the gearbox or the rear diff somewhere. Does anyone now if this could be right? :bow:bow

Evenin' fellow Trol miester :D
The diff lock actuator is on the back diff and it's little pipes are prone to rusting away. Chances are the air is escaping and so not switching off due to pressure leak. Have a spy underneath and check your pipes :thumbs
Quick fix will be sticky tape liberally applied to dissengage difflock. Then go fix it properly. In my case I redid the pipes with some spare brake pipes as they're the same size :thumb2

how are they controlled pete? Is it with air or electric?

Thanx makeitfit i shall be checking underneath the old girl 2mos. Its bloody typical that its never worked before and when im fiddling it decides to work and stay on :lol. To be fair i dont think it has ever been needed so the trol thought she was in for some offroad fun:lol:lol:lol:lol

Don't fiddle with things you don't understand  I dont, hence the reason I'm still single :lol:doh

just got the answer, I found the right woman, and after 40 odd years together we still have it every day, and I am 65, so the relevance of this is to be sure of the woman you chose to live your life with, but I guess I was lucky and this is no easy task, Rick

Women love 4x4s my friend Fiona, she thought the size of mine is awesome:D
