Goooooooooood evening all!!

I am very soon going to be the proud owner of a R reg Ford Maverick 2.7td with a few issues, but I am not scared of getting my hands dirty!

I live in the North West (Burnley to be exact) and will be attempting repairs on my own driveway (is there any other way?!?!?)

Anyway, that's enough from me (for now) but I'm sure I'll be asking many questions about said car and it's issues that it has!

Hi mate and welcome, you will find on here all you need to know, Rick

Welcome dude, c'Mon you've been online for 14 minutes and still there are no pictures of this beast :lol

But yeah seriously, great club and great info in downloads section. :D

Hi and welcome. I'm new here myself but have already found a wealth of information and everyone is always happy to help.

Welcome buddy!!!! I'd advise paying up for the premium membership which is the tiny amount of £10 for the year (19p per week!!!!!) for this you get full access to all areas of the forum, downloadable workshop downloads for lots and lots of common faults/jobs you'll come across, discount with Milner Off Road for Japanese 4x4 spares http://www.milneroffroad.com/ (I set this up and you will need to be added to a spreadsheet), discounted 4x4 insurance from Adrian Flux and a whole lot more

We are the biggest Nissan 4x4 community on the Internet, (you do know that your Maverick is just a re-badged Terrano right?)

Burnley you say? I think I'm still wanted up that way by the Police, me and 3 mates were up in Altham for a business integration last year and we went into town and got smashed, me in my infinite wisdom decided it would be a good idea to sneak into a parked up Police van and steal an officers lunch box :lol My mate has a video of me eating the chicken wrap that was inside it :lol :bobby:

Not all of us are involved in "fowl" behaviour.:doh
Welcome to the best site for all Nissan 4x4's.

When you get the truck, you will find yourself sorting out those few niggles for only a few pence or the odd blob of grease. Others might just need an oil change, a squirt of electrical cleaner or new ARB drop links.:thumb2

Many of our members have had their trucks a long time, :augie there are also trucks that are over 19 + years old, :augie:augie:augie and still passing MOT's first time without advisories too.:thumb2

Enjoy the club.

Rustic come on, tell the truth, I reckon yours is a rust bucket really and you're just paying the MOT tester a nice wage to turn a blind eye :lol

Nahhh... it's not in the garden...:doh

It's in a warm dehumidified garage, integral to the house....:bow
Yes, I have an electric de-humidifier in the garage, so if either of the cars is put away damp, I switch it on lol.

Anyway Alex... how many of us can go out, when its windy and pouring down with rain, to their truck and go underneath and measure the front bump stops, when wearing slippers?
Done similar things late at night in my pyjamas once, when someone couldn't find their chassis number...
It has to share the garage with a fridge freezer and second fridge, so the first part of the garage has a bit of carpet too...:doh

Walls and ceiling painted white, floor painted with garage floor paint.

So no body lift for mine, as it might not make it under the up and over door lol...:nenau

I have been taking it to my mate Stevie Wonder, at the local MOT garage for years.
He used to test glasses at spec savers, but wasn't able to notice any difference in them..
:lol:lol:lol

Before we bought the house, it was a condition of sale that the Mav would go into the garage... This is really true...
On first attempt, it wouldn't..
Then I noticed that the up and over door could go up another 2" with a little push, even the previous occupants didn't know this.
In she went... 2 minutes later our offer was in...:thumb2 and accepted, they must have thought this guy is buying a garage with a house attached..
How right they were.:thumb2

Luckily, there was no way that a Land Rover Discovery could ever go in, well if it was crushed then yes, no problem lol...:lol
