Me again folks,

Does anyone know where I could get a replacement washer pump for the headlights in the 3.0?

I got it a few days ago and noticed the headlight washer jets didn't work. Found to be a zip tie on the pipe. I removed it and found what actually happens is the washer jets just dribble water from the nozzles when not spraying.

So I'm assuming the pump is no longer sealed and letting water pass through it when not in use. I cant find a replacement though.

Thank you for any help.

I don't know the 3L, but in my wife's T1, when she had it, it did the same, but that turned out to be a non-return valve that was located just before the T piece that splits the feed off to each head lamp washer. Basically, it puts just enough back pressure on the pipe to stop it syphoning.

light washer only works with head light on.
try swapping over the pipes from normal pump to light pipe and block normal pipe to stop leak, then try light pump and see what it does.might clear any junk from light pipe.

Good morning. The light pump works, it does sprey strong when use when the lights are on. The problem is when it's not being use, they both still seep water constantly unless it's feed pipe is pinched

My Patrol motor fell apart, only £170 for replacement, I managed to get one from breakers for £40

Kind regards

Russell.

Good god the dealers do try and have you over don't they. Would the patrol a d terrano be the same motor pump as to its wire connection. Think it had something like a 6 wire block to it.

The pumps are both attached to the reservoir, if you don't have the headlamp pump then there will just be the gap where it should be and a blanking cap in the side of the bottle.

The pumps appeared to be identical from memory when I was messing last time :nenau

Thank you for your reply. What did you end up doing? Did you get a new bit?

I actually got a pair of Fish tank ones, and put one in each feed after the "T", as I could not find the original one anywhere, and it was not helped by the fact that the T1 was a grey import, so none of the dealers were interested in it. I was not aware the 3l had head light washers then either, so never looked into what their set up was.

Thanks for your responce. I've just ordered a none return valve and 2mt of new pipe. Think I'll add the valve, and use the extra length of pipe to run up over around the bottle as apposed to just straight down. Should perhaps help fight gravity if the valve fails.

A similar module and price is available from fleabay for headlight washer. I didnt get around to replacing my headlight module, I think there is a blockage in one jet, and haven't got a compressor to blow back through to clear, so.....:thumb2

I had a blockage in the pipe too for one jet. I took the pipe off and just use the electric air pump I use for the wheels, shot the crud out like a bullet.
