I spend most of the evening servicing the wifes broomstick, and setting the cauldron up for her. Mind you the Naked dancing round the fire at midnight is fun...:lol:lol

I have the same view tbh, even if u gave the kids around here candy, they'll still do the trick. Think I'll electrify my front door:augie

I go around throwing eggs at peoples cars who pretend to be out. Lights on or off.

Do you find that free range eggs are better than battery eggs?

When the kids come round here, we ask them what would the trick have been if we hadn't paid them off in sweets... and they don't know...:doh

Usually their parents are waiting at the bottom of the drive.:augie

I find eggs that have been left for about 3-4 months work best.

The origins are a bit lost really - going around neighbours at halloween dressed up and singing a wee song or telling a story/joke is a very old Scottish tradition that the US destroyed and sent back as Trick or Treat.

Got the cubs halloween party tonight, fancy dress is the norm and I was thinking, for this year, what's really scary for kids? Jimmy Saville costume?

Guess that'll just scare the parents :D

Few years back my mate, who's 6'7", dressed up as the grim reaper and the 1st cub through the door, turned around and went straight home again, Now he's 12 and still can't stand halloween!!

All in, I think it's fine for young'uns and for having a bit of a laugh, not for teenagers to try and scrounge freebies and Tesco to sell eggs.

interesting :thumbs

Yeah, my mate said we should dress up as jimmy but I don't fancy being arrested thanks
My mum used to be a cub leader back in the 80s :lol

I should add that a tight naughty nurses outfit on the right young (legal!) lady is ALWAYS acceptable! :naughty

Although a 6'7" hairy ar$ed bloke dressed as a fairy was VERY scary one year! Looked like Mavis Cruet gone very much to seed!

(Look up willo the wisp for those not of the right vintage!)

holly crap:eek: their was someone in my geography class who looked like that:augie
