halfords cheaper ones a no no if you use quite a bit. my main set i use is a halfords pro and its great for the money. gets a lot of rough treatment with bars on the rachets! had it about 4 years. broken a few of the torx bits and replaced the inards in the small rachet. it was £100 in christmas sale reduced when i bought it. im very happy with it

I like halfords stuff, it's just hard finding the right set for the right money, halfords other stock are so dear, I needed an radio adaptor cable for my truck's radio back in 2011.... £30 in halfords.....eBay £0.99P how thick or desperate do you have to be to buy halfords stock:lol. It's only the tools that are ok money

I like the look of those Halfords ratchet. A thumb switch and a press button to release the socket. My cheap Halfords socket has neither of these things. Can be bloody irritating when you need pliers or a screwdriver to remove a socket! Funnily enough, tools can quite easily get covered in oil when working on cars...
