feel so much different being a passenger.even though i had driven most of the lanes a few times when sat the other side of the motor they all seem different again.

tro on lane

finally managed to get some info on the lane that was closed yesterday.
apparantly the landowner has planted trees on the lane and he has been served with an order from the county council to remove them and restore the original right of way.as soon as work is finished the lane will be opened again.

as i looked back through some notes ive got on the lanes around here,i last drove it in july 2008 and can remember the farmer moaning that it used to be a nice quite lane.

Any chance of an idea of where you went Elty or a MM trace if you have one please?

Looks good - only done the middle ones - I don't tend to veture as far south as the others though keep meaning to.

south derbyshire

have noticed how graded some of the lanes are due to repair work in the ashbourne area.
minninglow lane is very rutted and would be alot more challenging if the ground wasn't frozen solid.
still a varied run as its not an extreme off road challenge.

Minninglow is on Derbyshire CCs hit list - suggest you stay off it if it is soft, don't give em any mre excuses than they already have.

minninglow lane

as i said it was frozen solid so no damage was caused.
thing is most of the ruts are caused by tractors not 4x4s and its been that way for years.spose the landowner can get away with it as the right of way goe's through his land.:nenau

every lane is on every cc's hit list.its only a matter of time until they try and close them all for 4x4 use.

CORC group

Nice to meet some of the CORC members going in opposite direction on route too.

minninglow lane

that looks like the one nath.on a clear day you have got a good view of the old peak railway line.sadly it was so foggy you couldn't see past the walls on each side.

just out of interest when was that picture took as the ruts are alot deeper now.

That was March 2008 Elty.

It was the first time i'd taken the Terra greenlaning.

Looks a bit different to that pic now with 31" muds, cut down front bumper, raised front, fire extinguisher, dented panels, roofrack etc.

Btw I've just bought a Ford Galaxy as the family car after damaging the Terra's bodywork while out greenlaning in mid wales last weekend, so the Terra is now purely for fun.

glad you had a good day despite the freezing fog.there are some really good scenic routes on a clear day.
if we had got finished a bit earlier i was going to take you up to bonsal moor where you could have had a bit of a play in the mud but time and daylight got the better of us.:(
