Same as jace said. I told them I do some buying and selling at home. They take your private car no claims into account and ask the normal stuff.

did you see that reno v6 td on navara.net yummy itll do me when they bung that in front navara!

I wouldent put a reno anything on mine!

I fancy the 3.5 V6 peterol they used in the 2004 D22 in the Dakar rally!

well have no choice soon sein as they own nissan lol not into petrol engines!

I would advise diesel car for off roading, it can be run cheaper (normally) or use veg oil.

Most off roaders i know that have petrol motors tend to be V8 users and carry buckets of WD40 around too

If your serious about a 2nd car for off roading, then take a look at Discos or Land rover 90s, I know this is predominantly a Nissan site but you can buy a kitted out off roader for a fraction of a bog standard Nissan price. The parts are substantially cheaper, take £30 for a LR alternator over £380 for a NIssan (speaking from experiance) There is much more available too in the lines of off road kit and you won't have to fabricate your own or guess if it will fit.

For a £1000 sum or less you will find what your looking for in Land rover. They have had reliability problems in past and shoddy builds, unlike Nissan but find a decent chassis and everything else is replaceable. A complete engine is around £200 - £300 for example. If this is to be a second car for off roading I think its worth a look. I did and bought the Disco. So have two other members of this club recently, neither have posted yet though  odd that   but they are staying with nissan/ford as there main drive/family car/commute to work.

or go really extreme and try this, just jump in and drive: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Bobtail-Pick-...ryZ29748QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I rang 5 mav/t2 adverts today and all gone!!

Just had a look on ebay and there is tons of land rovers but they seem to go for about the same money? Perhaps looking in the wrong place?

Just been looking at a 'H' reg 3 door disco and the reserve is £1000

I emailed formula4 to ask about steel rims and bigger tyres :-

I own a Ford Maverick SWB 1998.

I wish to have a set of 4 steel (weller style) wheels with off road tyres as a second set.

At present I have 15” wheels with 235/75r15 tyres, I wish to have larger wheels/tyres which ever is possible.

Regards

There reply was :-

Thank you for your enquiry, 31105015 would be too big for your vehicle, we would advise that you stick to 2357515.

Regards

Paul Heselwood

What??

they mean 31/10.50/15 would be to big stick to the original size.
