Do you mean what size are they in old money ? :nenau
If so they're 31.75 near enough.

Forget them if your going to use your truck to get to & from work Alex not great on road & 50mph is your max or you'll never hear your stereo again, mate found he also got some vibration from them & breaking on wet roads was dreadful. If you want that style get a second set of rims & fit them to them for just off road days:thumb2 TBH think they are over kill for green lanes:augie great for P&P sites tho:thumbs

Oh are they that bad? or did the guy using them never have mud tyres before?

Can anyone link some cheap MUDs? I'm currently using kingpin mud trackers remoulds, speed rated to 82mph :lol and the noise does not bother me.

Go on tyresdirect, you'll need to go and check the size of your current tyres though as you need to input the size you want.

They have a big selection of muds. Those ones you've been looking at are far too aggressive for a daily driver use imho.

Alex,

Tyre is your safety net ie only part in contact with the road, so get a good set. If you must have muds then avoid remoulds as you do not know what you are buying yokohama do a nice mud tyre a geolander I think and these are new first use tyres.

Kind regards

Russell.

PS tyres direct in Luton did have them at £113 each and that was 285 75 16 so your smaller size should be cheaper.

Most the the more aggressive treads are remoulds these days, I think remoulds are much more reliable these days compared to 10-15years ago.

But as said, Stay away from this tyre for a daily driver. Crap grip on the road and noisy!

I like all the different views, only problem is most of the tyres recommended arent any good for playing in the mud

All be it a limited time, i want some good boggers :sly gotta be safe in sainsburys carpark :augie

Im currently running Kingpin Mud trackers with no noise or grip issues (for me)
obviousy driving taking into account im on muds :thumb2

whats the actual metric size of a 32"

is it an 85 profile? :nenau

Alex there is more than one metric size that adds up to 32" - you need to match up the size you already have on so stop faffing and go out and read the size off the side of your tyres! :doh

Tyresdirect and camskill have plenty decent mud terrains

If you want to know how to work out the tyre diameter from the metric size then use google or the forum search engine (it's been discussed PLENTY times before - I'm fairly certain in at least one of your old threads  :doh)

I don't know why we bother telling him he never listens to us anyway :doh

Yes but these are totally different again on the road :doh

Stick with what you got they are pretty good in mud and rock. you will still get stuck with the above, Just worse. I don't think you have the experience or know how to recover yourself safely.

Don't run before you can walk

I don't think that 82mph is enough for your truck, so if you are involved in a crash, the insurance may not pay out.:doh

The vehicle manufacturer specifies a speed rating for the tyres, and this is usually well over what the vehicle is capable, and just because you keep well below this speed limit doesn't prevent the insurance from backing out.
This is why winter tyres must be declared, as normally these are a lower speed rating than the car manufacturer specifies, so "tread" carefully, excuse the pun lol.
Then there is the legal position, if the police are involved, incorrect and dangerous tyres...
I'm surprised that the MOT didn't pick up on it.. mind you I was surprised that they didn't pick up on other things too. Any how, did Stevie Wonder sign the certificate?
Just declare the tyres to your insurance... sorted.:thumb2

Well that was clear last year... don't mention the Tirfor winch...:doh

I think he needs to go out with a group, and get stuck a few times to gain some experience.

The MOT don't check if the tyres are to original vehicles spec, why would they?. If your insurance company is happy with the different tyres then it's ok.

Again, Get a decent modified 4x4 insurance and tell them about everything. Usually it won't make a difference on cost.

Indeed. I was lucky enough to live quite close to pete and stu which has helped vastly
