Gear ratios diffs etc

Can anyone tell me if the Terrano petrols have the same gearboxes as the diesels also are the diffs a different ratio.
I was thinking of buying a 2.4 for spares & just not sure how much of it is likely to be useful to me.

Petrol diff ratios are different to the diesels, I have a couple of petrols if you are interested one has LPG conversion, both cheap, need the space, Rick

Gearboxes are different not much use buying a petrol for spares for your diesel

That's ok thanks it was on e.bay & I missed it any way.
Still be interested to know the diff ratios. I used to run petrol diffs in my diesel Vitara commercial the gearing was about 20% lower meaning I could run much bigger tyres with the gearing still ok & spedo still accurate.
