As i've not been able to find another MK3-4 centre dash cheap enough (not going to pay top price just to cut it up:clap) & really want to get my gauges in I made a start on making up a little gauge pod to fit into the front of the cubby hole infront of the gear sticks to house my gauges, a switch for the foot well lights (to be fitted yet) & a USB port to make connecting things to the stereo easy as the stereo has a rear USB. Dug out some MDF & ply out of the shed & made a start

After mixing up some fibreglass & body filler I blended & smoothed the bits & spent over an hour sanding it down then gave it a coat of black paint, looks very rough at the min but it'll all be getting vinyl wrapped after i've done a little filling around the USB port. Not the best place for the gauges but it'll have to do for now until I manage to get another dash at the right price:augie

ahh the little bit under the ashtray is where thats going,,,,,will look good vinyl wrapped, nice job m8y :thumbs

Trying to work out where they'll fit? Like the USB charger tho.

Your new T2 has a sort of 1/2 circle shaped opening infront of the gear sticks below the ash tray well this pushes into the opening & is a very snug fit

Edit: your spot on R1cho doing it in carbon effect vinyl to match the other bits i've done

Well got it vinyl wrapped today & what a pig of a job it was to the pod:doh Still got to wire everything in & plumb in the boost gauge but should get that done in the next few days if it stops raining:rolleyes:

Footwell lights I think he said?

Yip it'll control the blue foot well lights once I get the fitted:thumbs had it in my last T2:augie Got the boost gauge plumbed in today & this turbo acts a little different to the one in my old SWB as that one hit 1.2 bar at around 2250rpm & stopped there where this one hit 1 bar at 2250rpm but when you get close to 3000rpm it peaks to 1.3 bar & holds all the way to the red line, wonder if Nissan have changed something:nenau
