garbox don't feel right

this is worring me, my terrano's gearbox feels quite stiff and notchy, it used to go into gear smoothly but now it doesn't feel right, almost dry and sticky, could this be because it's still got gl5 in it i can't find any cheap:doh:doh:doh also it grinds bad when selecting reverse unless you wait about 3 seconds after pressing the clutch which i do, dad doesn't

I'd suspect a clutch issue. If it doesn't engage fully, the forward gears will feel very stiff and reverse will crunch. You may be able to stop the reverse crunch by selecting a forward gear before selecting reverse.

Well the gearbox came out my scrap swb and was fitted about a year ago with a new heavy duty clutch. It feels like I just said when the vehicle is parked and you're playing about with the gears

Bleed the Clutch, also try Double d Clutch the you will find out if its gearbox or Clutch. Laurie Ash:thumbs
