replaced fuel lines this morning front to back. very messy as waxoyled a few weeks back.hardest part was removing pipe clips.so i think the leak which was spraying everywhere when engine running is what i thought was a leaking fuel tank. so whilst underneath decided to remove clutch damper pipe.as fuel pipes was badly corroded.one fuel pipe fell in half in my hands.bled clutch 3 times, bliss can now depress with my toes, reach in and depress with fingers. gonna bleed again tomorrow as feels a little notchy when depressing. thanks all for advice given.

did you take the old fuel pipe out? Ive left mine...

At the moment i have rather a good collection of excess fuel lines under mine :)
3 old uns and a new one that some fool had installed the wrong size, really must tidy them up a little :)

i removed them.didnt want to confuse mot tester who just failed brake lines on my daewoo for excessive corosion front to back.i removed and renewed but didnt have a spot of rust just the coating starting to lift.rub with your fingers and shiny metal.i complained and they just said getting pissed off with steve, passes what should have failed, fails what should pass should have gone to specsavers.

Can you replace with the plastic reinforced pipe or does it have to be metal pipe?

if you mean brake pipes then yes.you can buy a complete kit but much more expensive than copper pipe.i bought flaring kit for £11.00.25 foot of copper pipe a tenner fittings were pennies.never done em before but dead easy.oh and fuel lines ok in rubber as long as to spec.
