Hi Peeps,
Just wondering if there is any adjustment on front wheel bearings, its a 3.0 on 52 plate with auto hubs. I have jacked up both sides and there seems to be a little movement from top to bottom as the wife says there is a noise coming from the front wheel? I also noticed the rubber bump stops are missing from each side:doh is this an MOT failure? main dealer part only I suppose:nenau

Cheers Colin

Check out this link, it's from the downloads section. It is actually about replacing the disks but does show the wheel bearing lock nut. http://www.nissan4x4ownersclub.com/downloads/workshop/wk36.pdf

Before trying to adjust the bearings what sort of noise is it? Auto Hubs can make a noise, normally a very fast clicking noise that obviously varies with speed. Go for a run and then carefully feel the temperature of each auto hub. They can get very hot if one or both are sticking, you do get heat from the brakes but you'll know about it if the hub's are getting hot.

My bump stops have been missing for years so doubt they are a failure for MOT.
