Hello again!

I want to say a quick thanks to madmark and everyone for getting me sorted with the clutch release bearing guide tube thingy. And so quickly!
Next problem....haha! The front end seems really low. Only about three or four inches from the top of the tyre to the bottom of the wheel arch. Is this normal? I have noticed the anti roll bar on the drivers side wishbone is loose so i shall retighten that tonight.....and the torsion bars are adjusted all the way. Nearly....
But when the truck is loaded up a bit like this past weekend the steering linkages rub against the anti roll bar. Possibly because of the loose drivers wishbone end....stay tuned!
Can the torsion bars be taken out and turned round on the splines (if that's how they are secured) to give more adjustment?

Cheers

Yep - workshop download "reindexing torsion bars" is what you need :)

Yep as said about the torsion bars. Get ya tape measure out too.

Also check out previous threads on this subject.

How do you mean antirollbar is loose?
If its the drop links on the ends they're probably buggered.

If the steering linkage is hitting the anti-roll bar, it is worth checking it is on the right way round.

I had some issues with mine, and when refitting the replacement, I stupidly put it back on the wrong way round, and it hit the linkage, but when on the right way round, it is miles away.

Should look like..

Thanks guys

Just taken photos on my phone but not sure how to get them on here....
Not sure anti roll bar is on the right way....looks like it is on upside down!
Any idea how to send pictures? I'm using my mobile at the moment.

Found the upload file thing...but keeps saying upload failed.
Also had a go tightening the anti roll bar on the wishbone but the stud has moved diagonally and is inside the wishbone! Not helpfull!

Hold.on a seccymo, surely the second picture is just a raised truck vs the first pic which is low, looking at angle of cvs :thumb2

choose the [paper clip icon to the right of the smiley, if it does not load then the file may be too big use paint or similar to reduce size, Rick

Both pictures are my truck. The top one is with the wheels on the ground and before I changed the front bar, or lifted it. The second is while up on axle stands, hence the difference in drive shaft angles.

Ah ok.:thumb2

Ok my phone must save the pics at a larger size to what is allowed. I will try and get the laptop out tonight! If my five month old daughter lets me haha! And then spin that anti roll bar round....
Also realised last night my sump guard is missing! Rang up the garage who did my clutch a couple of weeks ago and they have it. The buggers!

That's exactly why I don't trust garages, I'd rather do it myself, make a mistake, rectify it, learn about my car in the process and know nothing has been nicked off it!!!

I just use the garage when it's a job I don't have time for and even then I almost always get the bits first and just ask them to fit them. My garage did the same with the Trol's sump guard when they changed my clutch, although I think they probably forgot rather than left it off on purpose. I only realised part way through the Wales weekend last year and by the time I got in touch with them they couldn't locate it so I suspect it went out with the scrap.

Apart from that one blip they've been a top garage so I didn't press much more as I knew I would be lifting the truck soon and was going to remove it when I did that anyway (suspected it might foul on the front prop). Trol sump is very well protected by the front axle and associated bits anyway!

Got the guard back ok.....they just forgot about it!
Also have taken the anti roll bar off. Well all up until that loose stud on the wishbone. Looks like it has bent and the spacer on the underside is jammed.
So started to cut the stud but my daughter isn't well tonight. Never seen so much sick!
Anyway guess i will get a new roll bar ordered tomorrow.

Shouldn't need a new anti-roll bar, just the drop links.

Ah cool! That'll be cheaper! Will see about any damage to the wishbone but hopefully it's ok.

Ah ok! That'll save me a bit of money!
Thanks for the advice peoples! Very much appreciated.
